Contentment in Christ...

The lord has been dealing with me lately on the subject of contentment. I've been uneasy and wondering what to do because I desire so many things but they have yet to come to past. This morning God showed me to put my full trust in him and I shall be content. Are you longing for prince charming to come along or to be a mother? Well there is one thing you must have in life and that is contentment where you are in life now. Helping your house, preparing for the future and placing all your trust in the Lord. Being content and thirsting after things of the lord. Matthew 5:6 says Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." It tells us right there to thirst after things of the lord and he will fill the desires of your heart in his time. For if your not content at where God has placed you now you will not be content in marriage and motherhood. So learn to be content in Christ and he shall fill the desires of your heart and you will be content in life now and after marriage when you fully commit to the Lord.

Jennifer, I love your post, and found it because you mentioned contentment. I'm working on a women's Bible class manuscript about contentment God's way, and the learning of it.

I'd like to add you as a Facebook friend....Cathy

God bless you. I didn't meet my husband until I was 27. We have now been married almost six years and have three wonderful children. My biggest regret was that I wasted my single years pining over what God hadn't given me. I want to encourage you and say, "God bless you" for using your time wisely. If you live for God today in contentment, He will use each experience to prepare you for tomorrow. Be encouraged, I now know what God means when He said that a married woman must serve her husband. I am so glad for the calling to be a wife, but I wish I had given God more when I had more of me to give. Have a great day!
